Privacy Policy
Your data, plainly explained
Dune Seven is built for people carrying a lot. The last thing you need is a privacy policy you can't read. This one is written in plain English.

1. Who we are
Dune Seven Planner is made by Dune Seven Pty Ltd (ABN 676 684 030), an Australian company. In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean Dune Seven Pty Ltd. "The app" means the Dune Seven Planner mobile application, and "the site" means duneseven.com.au.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Account details — your name and email address when you create an account.
- What you put in the app — your tasks, your daily priorities, habits, journal entries, notes and lists, your monthly mantra, and the energy mode you choose (Flow, Low or Focus).
- Waitlist signups — if you ask to be notified at launch on our website, we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name.
Information collected automatically
- On our website — standard analytics such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- In the app — we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, such as which screens are viewed and which features are tapped. This is linked to your account so we can improve the app, and it is never used to track you across other apps or websites.
- Crash and performance reports — we use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and performance reports so we can find and fix problems. These reports are not linked to your identity.
- Subscriptions — subscriptions and free trials are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive your purchase history (never your payment or card details) so the app knows what you have access to.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photos.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- Provide the app and keep your planner synced across your devices
- Create and manage your account
- Process subscriptions and free trials
- Respond when you contact us for support
- Fix bugs, improve the app, and understand which features actually help
- Email you about the launch, if you asked us to
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your journal entries, tasks or habits with advertisers, ever.
4. The "I'm Stuck" feature and AI
This one deserves its own section, because you should know exactly what happens.
When you tap "I'm Stuck" on a task, the text of that task is sent to Anthropic, an AI provider, so it can be broken into smaller steps and sent back to you. That's the only thing that goes — the task text you chose to break down.
Your journal entries, your other tasks, your habits and your energy modes are not sent to any AI provider. If you never use "I'm Stuck," nothing from your account is sent to an AI provider at all.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that make the app work:
- Google Firebase — hosts your account, syncs your planner data, and provides our app analytics and crash reporting (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics)
- Anthropic — powers the "I'm Stuck" task breakdown, as described above
- Apple and Google — handle app distribution, subscriptions and payments. We never see or store your card details.
- Netlify — hosts our website and receives waitlist signups
- Analytics providers — help us understand website traffic
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
6. Where it's stored and how long
Your data is stored on secure servers operated by our providers, which may be located outside Australia — including in the United States. By using the app, you consent to your information being handled overseas by these providers.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records by law.
7. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your account and your data
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time, using the link in any email we send
- Complain — if you think we've mishandled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If you're in the UK or European Economic Area, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to request your data in a portable format.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app, under Settings. If you'd rather we did it for you, email us and we'll take care of it.
9. Children
Dune Seven Planner is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. If the change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
11. Contact us
Questions about your privacy, or want your data deleted? Email us at admin@duneseven.com.au and a real person will reply.
