An ADHD planner that works with your brain, not against it

Planning paralysis, time blindness, task initiation. Dune Seven was designed around these realities rather than in spite of them, by someone who lives with them.

If a planner has ever made you feel worse, it wasn't built for an ADHD brain. It was built for a brain that already had the executive function to use it.

ADHD planner

Why standard planners fail ADHD brains

Most productivity apps are built on three quiet assumptions: that you have consistent energy, reliable working memory, and an accurate internal sense of how long things take. ADHD interrupts all three. So the app keeps working perfectly and you keep feeling like the broken part.

The result is familiar. A beautifully set-up system, abandoned by week three. A list so long that opening it triggers the exact avoidance it was meant to solve. A streak counter that turns one hard week into evidence against yourself.

What Dune Seven does differently

Energy modes instead of one fixed view

Every other planner gives you one home screen and expects you to meet it. Dune Seven gives you three. Choose Flow when you have capacity, Low when you don't, and Focus when you need the world narrowed to one thing. The home screen rebuilds around your choice.

Nothing is deleted or hidden when you switch to Low. Every task stays reachable in all three modes. What changes is how much you have to face at once, which is usually the actual barrier.

Time blindness, made visible

ADHD time blindness isn't laziness about the clock, it's a genuine difficulty perceiving duration. Abstract numbers don't fix it. The Focus Countdown Timer uses a depleting visual ring so time becomes something you can see draining, not a figure you have to imagine. Today at a glance does the same job across the whole day, showing your commitments as blocks so the gaps become obvious.

Task initiation support, on demand

"Book the appointment" isn't one task. It's find the number, check the calendar, decide on a day, make the call, and each of those has its own friction. Tap I'm Stuck on any task that's become a wall and it breaks into three to five steps you can actually start.

Three priorities, not thirty

A long list is a threat. Dune Seven asks a single question each morning: what matters most today? You name up to three. Everything else stays captured but out of the way.

Streaks are a guide, not a scorecard. Habit tracking in Dune Seven has no cap and no punishment for the week life got in the way.

Who this is for

  • Diagnosed ADHD, inattentive, hyperactive or combined presentation
  • People on a waitlist, self-identifying, or still working out what's going on
  • Anyone with executive dysfunction from another cause — burnout, postpartum, chronic illness, shift work

You don't need a diagnosis to use it. Dune Seven is a planner, not a clinical tool. It doesn't diagnose anything and it never claims to.

What helps

The features ADHD brains reach for first

Flow, Low and Focus

Match the app to your capacity instead of the other way around. Nothing hidden, just less to face.

Focus Countdown Timer

A depleting ring that makes duration visible. The single biggest help for time blindness.

I’m Stuck

Turns a wall of a task into three to five startable steps.

Capture

For the thought that arrives at the worst possible moment. Two taps, sorted later.

Energy Mirror

Your month coloured by how you actually showed up. A mirror, not a score.

Reset my day

One tap when today needs to start over. No commentary on what you didn’t do.

Questions

ADHD planner questions

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis?

No. Dune Seven is designed around executive dysfunction, time blindness and mental load, and it's used by people who are diagnosed, undiagnosed, on a waitlist, or dealing with executive dysfunction from burnout or postpartum recovery. It isn't a clinical tool and doesn't diagnose anything.

Is there a free ADHD planner option?

Yes, and it's a real one. Energy modes, tasks, priorities, unlimited habits, Journal, Capture, the Focus Countdown Timer, Week and Month are all free with no trial clock and no card required.

How is this different from a to-do list app?

A to-do list shows you everything all the time. Dune Seven changes what you see based on the energy you have, keeps your daily priorities to three, and gives you tools for the specific moments ADHD makes hard: starting, estimating time, and remembering the thought you just had.

Will it nag me with notifications?

No. There are no streak-shaming alerts and no guilt notifications. Reminders exist where you set them and nowhere else.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, Dune Seven Planner is on the App Store and Google Play.
